Here I am.. sitting in my office.. or you probably call it the staffroom.. HAIZ.. i was supposed to meet my bff and have lunch at Liang court.. MY liang court.. MY curry rice.. MY calpis.. My tidbits! ARGHH!! but now i'm stuck here.. cos all the teachers in charge of the inline skating for the fitness club isnt free today.. SO.. I have to do it.. at first i thought ok la.. not very late.. THEN.. its 3.30 to 5pm.. God help me.. 5pm! that breaks the record for the latest time i have gone home since the start of my job..haha I actually dun mind staying.. but why? why today!? when i have nothing to do.. no one asks me.. when i suddenly have such a craving to eat my curry rice.. i get this.. ARGHH! Best thing is.. i cant join in the skating cos i didnt bring socks.. so what am i going to do?? i probably hide in my small little cubicle to play my DS LITE..

YES! DS LITE!! WEEEE!! I BOUGHT MY DS LITE!!!! hahaha its so fun.. haha my bro says i will get bored with it soon.. hopefully not.. at least till i gone to Africa and back..cos then i have something to do in the 10hours plane ride.. anyway.. as i was saying.. its so FUN! I'm currently playing the Trauma.. a game where you can do surgery on.. but i'm stuck at this stage where i jus keep failing.. *anybody can help me?* so i started playing pirates of the carribean.. omg.. thats so fun..haha cos like my bff.. i like to play either very cute games.. or those where i can go stage by stage.. those where the character can jump here and there.. and kill those little useless enemies.. then you come to a stage with a powerful enemy.. yupz! pirates of the carribean is this sort of game.. so fun.. and i can dual one to one with those bad guys like sao feng.. babossa.. AND the graphics arent too bad! I can see Johnny Depp and Orland Bloom very clear.. haha *precisely why i got the game in the first place..hee*

ok.. I tried Nintendogs too.. *the rating not too bad.. * but.. i got bored la.. hahaha i have to shout into the mic all the time.. AND the bloody dog doesnt understand me.. *i named him piggy..haha* so i keep going.. "piggy. " * have to be in the same tone as how i recorded it somemore. kns* "piggy...." "PIGGY" "PIGGY!!!!!!!!!!" sometimes he finally hears me.. sometimes.. i have to jus whistle in the end.. kns.. then "sit down" *again most be same tone.. kns* "sit down" "SIT down" SIT DOWN" "SIT DOWN!!!!!!" and he just keeps showing me the qns marks.. wth.. he does understand "shake" pretty quicky though.. and i tried teaching him to lie down.. totally chaotic..haha so i am so giving up soon..

O.. as a teacher.. i actually play this game call imagine teacher..hahaha not too bad.. i get to teach the adorable kids.. AT LEAST THEY ARE LISTENING TO ME QUIETLY.. AND PAYING ATTENTION.. AND NOT USING MP3.. AND NOT BEING RUDE.. AND NOT TRYING TO SKIP CLASSES!!!! ok.. stop.. calm down.. HONESTLY!! WHY ARE YOU JUST LISTEN AND PAY ATTENTION FOR JUS A FEW HOURS?! okok.. shh.. i mus relax..

Since we are at this topic.. i have constantly told my students abt paying attention.. abt not giving them any more chances.. AND YET.. i have to repeat every single lesson..

me: "Class stand"
still talking.. walking around
me: "CLASS STAND"
some stands up but continue to talk.. some still playing with rubbish
me: "EH CLASS!! HOW LONG ARE YOU GOING TO TAKE!"
finally catches most of their attention.. turns around.. keeps quiet.. some still not standing
those standing: "OI! STAND LA! "
those sitting: ?????? still in their own world..

imagine.. imagine you have to do this EVERYDAY.. EVERY SINGLE LESSON.. gosh.. and that's not the end.. while teaching.. they are either talking or sleeping.. and the sad thing is.. there ARe some who are trying to listen and learn! Mind you.. i tried to make the class interesting.. I racked my brains to come up with games and activities to teach instead of just nagging the whole lesson.. and this is how they are.. some really look like they are enjoying.. BUT others are disrupting! and worse.. they start cheating.. and then blame each other.. "CHER... NOT FAIR".. kaoz..

see? its sooooo hard to be a good teacher.. haiz.. Of cos.. i muz say.. till now.. i still enjoy teaching..ahhahaha sometimes.. i walk into the class.. and i really dunno to laugh or to scream.. kids do the darnest things man.. and they say the weirdest things..

eg.1
Two of my students skipped class.. i have repeated said.. line up in twos.. and move to the music room QUIETLY.. yet.. after almost half the lesson.. two of them were missing.. so.. this is serious.. so one of the classmates volunteered to get them.. and he got them.. they came in.. i took out my beta form *the form to send them to counselling and demerit points.. * i already finished filling it.. and then i asked them * i usually talk to them first to see if they deserve a second chance.. or rather the 100th chance*

Me: where did you go?
Boy A: in the classroom
ME: why are you in the classroom?? i said to move to the music room rite?
Silence.. and then shows me the "go to hell" look
Boy A: cher.. he stomache.. then he tell you but you ignore him..so he just ran to the toilet
ME: did you tell me?
Boy B: ya! But you ignored me!
ME: you want to go toilet.. you come to me and SAY it to me.. you shout from the back of the class.. how can i hear?? Dont you know that your class is always so noisy?!
Silence.. Boy B gives the watever look
To boy A: then where did YOU go? He go toilet you must follow?
Boy A: no.. he run to the toilet.. i help him take toilet paper..

see? this is the time where i dunno to laugh or cry.. what kind of excuse it that? anyway.. i would have let them off if they jus APOLOGIZE and be polite.. but NO.. they are still so rude.. so i sent the chairperson to escort them to the counselling room.. but they didnt go in... end of the lesson.. they came back.. and beg for mercy.. I let them off.. cos i'm jus too kind..hahaha i did talk to them again anyway..haha

Eg. 2

HAppens on the SAME day..
2 boys were talking and talking non stop in my class despite giving them thousands of warnings.. so i told them to stand up.. you would expect them to keep quiet rite? no.. they dun.. they actually start walking around talking and disrupting others.. so.. no choice.. to make sure the ones who wanna learn dun lose out.. i sent the two of them out.. again to counselling..

They came back with the form.. and wrote..
Boy A:"I was talking to boy B but he didnt replied. Then i laughed. NOt loudly but Miss Ting was beside me.

Boy B:" Boy A was talking to me but i didnt replied. Then suddenly Miss Ting ask me to stand. Then I just stand. Then suddenly she ask me to go counselling room.. then I know i cant talk back to teachers so i just go.

... what shit is that? they were talking and talking.. and i already REPEATEDLY warn then and told them to keep quiet.. anyway.. so i asked them

ME:" so you were not talking to him? then Boy A is talking to himself????? and then he started laughing to himself???"
even the counsellor also asked the same qns..

This is even better.. SAME DAY again.. 2 boys wanted to go to the toilet.. so i gave them the pass.. which has a handphone strap on it.. NYLON made.. They came back some 5 to 10 min later.. and then BEFORE i even opened my mouth to scold them.. one of them started to shout first..

Boy A: WAT CHER?! I DIDNT DO IT! I DUNNO!! I JUST HOLD THE PASS THEN SUDDENLY HE SAYS YOU DIE LIAO.. I DIDNT DO ANYTHING LO! NOT MY FAULT WAT! HOW CAN YOU SEND ME TO COUNSELLING JUST LIKE THAT?! THEN YOU WANT SEND YOU CANT WAIT TILL TOMMORROW? WHAT IF I HAVE SOMETHING TO DO NOW?! *it happened to be the last lesson*

Me: Why are you shouting? I haven even opened my mouth? I just want to know what happened.. why do you have to shout? *I didnt even say i was sending them to counselling.. SIAO*

BoyA: I WHERE GOT SHOUT! I SPEAK LIKE THAT ONE LO.. THEN YOU DONT BELIEVE ME~!

Me: Are you hearing yourself?? Are you telling me you were holding this pass.. and then SUDDENLY it jus broke? and ALL THE STRAINS started coming out on its own and it became like this? *all the strings have come off and it doesnt even looked like a strap anymore*

Friend who didnt go to the toilet but stayed back to watch the commotion: "pls la..how can this become like that on its own"

Boy A: " diam la"

Me: "alright.. if you spoil it.. why must you be so rude? and start shouting?"

Boy A: "I WHERE GOT SHOUT. AND I DIDNT DO ANYTHING WAT"

Me:" alright.. fine.. since you think i'm jus bias for not believing you.. let's go to the counselling room and you can explain yourself. see if the counsellor believes you.

So all of us went.. including the friend who didnt go to the toilet..

Counsellor:" what happened?"
BoyA: "I asked her if i can go toilet. then she give me the pass"
Counsellor:"who is she?"
BoyA:" Miss Ting"
Counsellor:" then call her name. respect your teacher right?"
BoyA:" So Miss Ting gave me the pass and then i was walking with it when suddenly he tell me one string come out le.. you die.. then i pass the pass to him while i hold the strap *which is attached to the pass* and walk lo.. then suddenly we turn and see become like that liao"

Counsellor:"Why did you have to pass part of the pass to him?"
BoyA: huh.. i jus pass to him then we walk lo.. spoilt le ma.. then i scared it breaks
Counsellor:" The sensible thing to do is to hold the entire thing in your hand right? why do you have to pass one side to him? I know you ar.. you were playing afool rite? THis is not an easy material to tear ya? it requires some strength to cause it to become like that"
Boy A:" I dunno la.. I didnt do anything la. I wasnt playing.. it jus become like that"
counsellor:"why do you have to shout then? if you spoilt it, you can just tell your teacher and apologize.. Miss Ting isnt going to hang you wat"
Boy A:"I didnt do anything wat."
Counsellor:"Come on la speak the truth.. we all want to go home right?"
BoyA:" I didnt play with it. I dunno"

And it could have gone on forever.. anyway.. in the end.. he admitted either one of them could have walked too fast.. haha and "accidentally" pulled the thing.. which still boils down to the point where.. its NYLON.. anyway.. he jus apologized but the way he said it.. obviously he still dun think he's at fault.. not even abt the point where he was shouting..

Can you imagine all of that happened in A DAY?! so eventful rite? but that's also wat makes teaching so interesting..haha cos there's always something new each day.. Some students just told me not long ago that a boy in their class was eating lollipop yst and then cos it was stuck in his front tooth.. he decided to use the stick to pluck it out.. and in the end..

Boy:" what is this? Why the lollipop sharp sharp one??"
hahaha.. guess?? its part of his teeth!!! omg.. hahah i laughed so hard i was tearing up.. i cant believe it.. now he has a gap between his two front teeth..hahaha

alright.. so much for this post.. i got to go watch them skate... haiz..

Look.. i changed the colour of my words..hahaha cos have been receiving complaints abt the red font.. but i thought it was fine.. unless u read my whole blog at one go.. then ya.. *right shi?? haha* anyway.. i'm actually sitting at my desk at the moment.. waiting for class to start.. its common test week.. first time invigilating.. hahaha.. will be marking the papers too.. first time marking too.. haha so many first times lately..

Anyway.. Dear and I brought Wern Jia out yst.. so adorable.. the moment i stepped into my grandma's house.. she jumped up from her "bed".. hahaa so excited abt going out.. anyway.. then in a flash.. she was all ready to leave.. brought her to Shokudo to meet ah dear.. and everyone was like.. "this is jason's daughter??!" ... haha pls ar.. i'm still very young ar.. though i wouldnt mind having such an adorable, obedient daughter.. hahah..

We had lunch there.. where Wern Jia was busy playing with the slide at the playground rather than eating... *all jason's fault.. pamper her so much* then we went to suntec to shop for toys.. cos it's her bday in a week.. so early present.. she was jus choosing all sorts of things la..haha... in the end.. got her a toy pony.. pocket size..haha and also a mickey mouse notebook.. o..and she also bought a candy with a dolphine head.. as well as 2 lollipops..hahahhaahah

At night.. we had dinner at my grandma's place.. and then she started saying.. "book".. so we all thought she wanted a book but didnt noe which one.. then we thought.. "box"?? hahaha so we thought it was a toy we didnt buy.. cos she's too young for that.. her dad then told her we threw it away.. omg.. she started to tear up..hahaha THEN! ah dear suddenly say.. mayb its lollipop??? hahahahaha so i took out her lollipop and she smiled..hahah nod her head furiously..haha it was only after she found her lollipop was she willing to go bathe..

What a tiring day...
