Well well.. let's see.. i just read my friend's blog.. and realised her sister just scolded her on her blog again.. so then.. i decided to post something here..
See.. i'm going to change job really soon.. in July.. and i'm going to go teach in secondary school.. then lots of pple have been telling me its very difficult to teach teenagers.. and i guess its kinda true.. for teenagers.. they are in a weird situation.. not matured.. not a child.. and they tend to think they know it all.. when they really dont..
So anyway.. i used to think.. we can talk sense to them? since they love to think they are old enough to think for themselves and thus are "reasonable".. but now.. i read my friend's blog.. and i really wonder.. what the hell is going on in their heads?
Let's see.. care and concern from family has now turned into "interference of their lives".. and just becos they might have had some LITTLE experience in working.. they believe they have seen the outside world.. and they know it.. they can jus take care of themselves... and this is shown by not going home.. jus becos they dont feel like.. not even bothering to inform their family their whereabouts even though they insist they care for their family..
so if they cared? why do they not wanna spend more time with their family? Why would they rather jus stay out and not be home for most of the week.. and let their family worry by not even informing them their whereabouts? not to mention.. treating their home like a hotel.. cant really understand them..
And then there's all this LOVE issue going on.. I can totally understand.. cos i been in love when i was in secondary school too.. at least i think i was in love..hahaah but.. i didnt go to the extend of wanting to stay out all week and be with him.. not to the extend of doing things which my parents would have objected to.. or to the extend of destroying my future? I did secretly have a relationship.. but still i went home every night *and my bf then would never have encouraged me to stay out at night all the time.. * and still.. i studied hard.. not jus becos i knew its MY future.. but also becos i thought by obtaining better results.. i can prove to my parents.. I HAVE grown up and I CAN handle my life with responsibility..
BUT what abt some youngsters now? *some.. not all* they decided its OK to jus go out and stay.. quit school.. *to the extend of jus skipping class and failing* and then expects pple to accept that they can have a boyfriend.. and expects pple to let them do what they please.. like i always say.. "how u act is how pple will treat u" if u shown responsibility.. and maturity.. pple WILL treat u with respect and believe u can handle ur own life? isnt that right??
so what is it they cant understand????
do they seriously wanna jus continue to do whatever they please.. and then one day wakes up and realised wat is supposed to be the most important to them *family, of cos* is gone?
do they wanna wake up one day and realise.. they have nothing left? *especially if their boyfriends decided to leave them*
I really wish i can understand their logic.. but i cant.. really cant..
One thing i can understand though.. "why would i bother to appreciate my family since they have always and will always be there for me no matter wat i do or not do?"

Yst I had a bad start.. very bad.. I jumped up from my bed at 5am cos i had a terrible stomach pain.. then couldnt slp since.. bout 8.30am, it was so bad my mum had to bring me to the 24hour clinic.. damn.. another $58 gone.. suspect its food poisoning.. then.. cos i already told my dearest Wen Jia i'm bringing her to the zoo.. I got up at 12pm to meet ah dear.. and then bring Wen Jia to the zoo.. ALL FOR HER! hee.. Love her so much.. anyway.. here are the photos!!!
haha.. she jus woke up from her afternoon nap.. that's why she looks so blur.. "Wen Jia, do you want to go to the zoo?".. she nods her head and said "see monkey!" hahaha
Enjoying her "door gift" from dear.. lollipop.. but its so big.. she can only lick it..hahahaha
She hasnt really warmed up to us yet.. and she's quite scared standing on that "rock".. but she really likes the eeeeeeeelephant..
While waiting for dear to come out of the toilet.. Wen Jia spotted this Ben's and Jerry's cow..haha "COW!" then i took a picture of her next to the cow.. and then she asked me "can i touch the cow??" I said "of cos.. but this is not a real cow..hahah"
Ah dear imitating Wen Jia's "victory" sign.. haha
I love this photo..haha look at how small she is compared to the polar bear! Only up to its leg.. haha Look at her small.. she doesnt seem to realized how scary that bear looks..hahah
With the Rhino.. gosh.. i jus love her smile.. hee
Its amazing how fast she learns.. after all that photo-taking.. she quickly learns that everytime she sees an animal she likes.. she jus walk right near to it.. turns around and smiles..hahaha we didnt have to tell her we are taking a photo by then.. haha
We also saw the flamingo.. and I told her flamingos stand on one leg.. she stared at me.. so i thought she didnt know what i was saying until she started to jump on one leg..haha *cos she cant balance standing on one leg..* so next time i say.. how does flamingos stand? she starts jumping on one leg..haha
Next up.. very interesting photos.. look closely and the facial expressions of dear and Wen jia in the next two photos.. super funny..
Feeding the giraffes.. similar frowns..haha
Similar smiles..hahaha what are they doing?! Wen Jia likes dear so much that when i tried to carry her.. she went.. "nono! kor kor!" cos she saw dear walking in front.. and she fear she might lose him! .. hello?! I'm her biological cousin?!
One thing i learnt yst... giraffes do not only have the longest neck, and is the tallest, they also have the longest tongues..hahaah and according to the zookeeper, even though giraffes have very long and skinny legs.. do NOT think they have no strength.. they can kill a lion with a kick..haha imagine.. so scary.. which is also why lions do not like to prey on giraffe.. Giraffe, you ROCK!
I had stomaches again halfway.. and so i had to go to the toilet.. and like a naggy mother.. I told dear to give her some water, wipe her face.. and sit on the bench outside toilet.. and like an irritated father, dear said " you jus go to the toilet la" haha and when i came out.. this is what i saw..
Wen Jia was happily eating her lollipop and holding on to her balloon.. swinging her legs.. while this big kid was fanning her with a paper.. cos.. so comical.. like princess and her maid..haha
After walking for so long.. we decided to take the tram ride.. we passed some designed trees or bush.. whatever u call that.. and Wen jia said "Giraffe the tree!" then she saw the elephant design "Elephant the tree!!" and then we saw a orang utan black statue.. guess what she said "Monkey the black!!" hahahaa amazing how kid's brain works.. haha
We went for an elephant ride too.. I think i'm in love with elephants.. they are such adorble creatures.. hee.. slow and steady.. Wen jia liked it so much.. the moment she got down.. she tried to go back to the queue again..haha wanna sit again..hahaha
After the elephant ride.. we went to watch the splash safari show.. and no matter how many times i told her its a sea lion.. she jus REFUSES to say the name..haha she can follow me and say sea cow, orang utan, blue whale etc.. but the moment is SEA LION.. she skips it..haha she seriously do not like the sea lion.. wonder why..hahaa
Just before we leave the zoo, we got a group photo.. and look how cute she was standing.. she was actually tickling my legs while we were taking picture.. I had to try so hard not to laugh out loud..
Look at how auntie i am in this video.. haha.. I was having stomaches and was so tired.. so lazy to even go get her.. instead i choose to jus keep asking her to walk to the side..hahahaha while the tram has to wait for her to move.. haha
So then.. after that.. we went to Hans and thomson to have our dinner.. and Wen Jia insisted on eating herself.. and she wans her mian mian.. so i gave her some of my spaghetti.. Its really amazing kids' minds work.. cos at first.. she was trying so hard to feed herself using a spoon.. she use the fork to get the spaghetti and put in on her spoon before sending it to her mouth which resulted in many failures to prevent the spaghetti from dropping back to the bowl before it reaches her mouth..haha then i tried to teach her by showing her to jus use the fork.. and she stared at me once again.. like she didnt understand.. and continued to use her spoon.. then..suddenly.. she realised that she can TURN the FORK to get all the spaghetti to "cling" on to the fork AND.. send it to her mouth rather than using that useless spoon! hahaha so smart!
She's brought up really well.. cos she didnt throw any tantrums.. and she's very independent.. eats herself, walks on her own most of the time... unlike other kids who always ask pple to carry them.. and.. she knows she's sick.. so she didnt dare ask dear to let her drink his coke..haha I LOVE HER! If my own kid will turn out like her next time.. i will be soo happy..haha
